This matters because a handle set ordered from a generic supplier will bolt up but the deadbolt won’t align with the strike prep. We carry both spacings. - The door sticks seasonally, then sticks permanently. Aluminum frames expand roughly 1/8″ per 10 feet of frame between winter lows and August humidity in Pinewood. - The glass fogs between the panes. On VL-300 impact units, the laminated interlayer can delaminate at the edge if water sits in the glazing pocket. This is not a seal failure in the traditional sense; it’s water intrusion into the laminated package itself, and the fix is glass replacement, not defogging.
